WHAT IF YOUR LOVE WAS ILLEGAL?

WHAT IF YOUR LOVE WAS ILLEGAL?

In following up my lengthy Instagram post, I am attempting to utilise my voice on all media to encourage acceptance and raise awareness

WHAT IF YOUR LOVE WAS ILLEGAL?

It is important to know that in no country does the LGBT community have equal rights. In 75 countries it is a crime. In 10 countries it can cost you, your life.
This map may aid in understanding the worlds stance on equal rights for LGBT.

(Taken from the Lush Australia website - ilga.org)

The LGBT community is also one that is heavily underfunded worldwide. So Lush is taking the soap worldwide – with an exception of 100 stores in which it would risk the workers safety (not to mention illegal) if they were to take part. The map above is a helpful indicator about which countries this includes.

THE SOAP
With a scent similar to Fizzzbanger bath bomb and appropriately named the “Love Soap”, this glittery soap is divine. With uplifting bergamot, lemongrass and Sicilian lemon oil and packed with lustre – by purchasing this vegan soap you will be doing more than having fun in the shower.

WHERE IS MY MONEY GOING?
Lush is one of the few companies that I feel I can trust my money is doing much more than funding a CEO’S luxurious lifestyle.

100% of $7.50 (AUD dollars, minus GST) is being donated to grassroots LGBT roots and organisations like All Out – who do not receive funding from the government or cooperation’s, but whose volunteers work tirelessly to raise awareness and send the message of acceptance all over the world.

If your local store or online has sold out of this beautiful soap (as they should!) I recommend seeing if the New Charity Pot catches your fancy as 100% of cost goes towards grassroots charities including those for LGBT.
